NIST Calibration

NIST Calibration Services

DataloggerMalaysia offers a variety of calibration services for Temperature, Humidity, Voltage and Pressure devices. Each device is calibrated to the manufacturer's specifications using test equipment traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Calibration stickers are affixed to each device and returned with a "Calibration certificate" listing "as found" and "as left" readings. The calibration certificate provides the documentation required to meet many USDA, EPA, FDA and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) quality standards.

We offer single point or multiple point calibration for all products and it usually takes 3-5 business days for calibrations to get through the lab.

Temperature Calibration Services

Temperature calibration is performed with a Kaye Model M2801/IRTD-400, IPTS-68 This service is priced at $49.00 for a single point and $19.00 for each additional point. Discounts are available for multiple unit calibrations, please contact or call sales @ +607- 4352540 for a price quote. Temperature calibration is available in the following range: -50°C to 150°C (41°F to 122°F). A sample temperature calibration certificate is available here

Temperature & Humidity Calibration Services

Definitions

NIST: U.S. National Institute of Standards & Technology.

Calibration is simply the process of comparing the unknown with a reference standard and reporting the results. For Example: Applied= 1.3V, Indicated=1.26V (or Error =-0.04V) Calibration may include adjustment to correct any deviation from the value of the standard.

Verification, as it related to calibration, is the comparison of the results against a specification, usually the manufacturer's published performance figures for the product. (e.g. Error=-0.04V, Spec=±0.03V, "FAIL"). Some calibration labs include a specification status statement on their Certificate of Calibration. (ie the did/did not comply with a particular spec).

Conformance, especially regarding the meaning of a Certificate of Conformance. Typically available when an instrument is purchased, it is generally recognized that such a document has little value as an assurance of product performance. Of course, the manufacturer expects that the product conforms to its specifications but, in this sense, the document simply affirms that the customer's purchase order/contract requirement has been duly fulfilled.
