The SD-1128 Light meter with LCD gives immediate access to the current conditions without the need to connect to a pc.
In the home or workplace, a light meter can be used to measure correct light levels to help reduce the amount of waste light. Other general lighting applications include monitoring outdoor light pollution and for plant growing.
Photographers use light meters to determine the correct exposure, and choose the best shutter speed and f-stop. Cinematographers and scenic designers use them in order to appropriately "set the scene".
The meter can also measure temperatures using type J or K thermocouples. Depending on the sensor used, the extremely wide temperature range that can be measured is -100°C to 1700°C (-148°F to +3092°F). Recording to an optional SD card allows data to be saved and exported to MS Excel for analysis.
